TeachScribe is all about giving teaching staff back valuable time to spend with children, and ensuring accurate, timely observations. It integrates observation recording into the natural teaching workflow. Instead of relying on memory or spending time tapping observations into an iPad in a busy classroom, you can simply speak into a discreet, wearable, push to talk microphone as the moments happen.
Our AI then transcribes these recordings, cleans up the text, and automatically aligns observations with the correct Early Learning Goals and Development Matters statements (or a custom goal/progress framework of your choosing).
Beyond just capturing observations, TeachScribe helps you review them. It offers dashboards displaying individual child progress and class-wide trends, making it easy to spot areas of strength and those needing extra attention. If you do have the iPad close by when you spot a child doing something, and you take a picture of it, you are also able to attach photos to the AI generated observations to bring them to life.
We're currently in the expanded development trials phase. That means that we expect things to go wrong. Whilst we've been performing initial trials for a few months so far and ironed out lots of the initial issues in that time, the expansion of the trials to new settings, with new ways of working and classroom environments means that you likely will experience some issues with the app. If you do experience any issues, whether something doesn't work entirely, or if the observations are tagged to the wrong goals, or if the AI generated summaries are inaccurate we need to know so we can fix them. We have a live chat within the app which makes reporting these issues to us super easy. It will be monitored weekdays 8:30am - 5pm and we aim to respond within a minute when you send us a message through it. The chat will persist from day to day so if we don't manage to resolve an issue there and then, we'll be able to follow up with you either through the live chat the next day or over email, whatever's easiest for you!
Please review the rest of the training steps to get familiar with how TeachScribe works before the start of the trial orientation meeting. The idea behind the in person meeting is to answer any final questions and get you set up and comfortable using the microphones to record observations.
