How do I access the child settings page?

The child settings page can be accessed by going to a child's overview dashboard and tapping "Student Settings" in the top right of the page.

What can I do on the child settings page?

On the child settings page you can:

  • Set a profile picture for a child

  • Change a child's name

  • Set or change a nickname for a child

  • Change a child's date of birth in case of any errors

  • Set a child's gender if it was previously incorrectly set

  • Adjust a child's development level

What does adjusting a child's development level mean?

By default, all children are tagged against the set of Early Learning Goals and Development Matters Statements (or similar subgoals) that are appropriate for their age. However, if a child is developmentally delayed, you are able to configure a more appropriate developmental age value for that child. This ensures that each child is tagged against the most useful goals to them.

For example, if a child was four years old, however it would be more appropriate to measure their progress and development against the goals for a two year old, you are able to set a "Development Level Adjustment" of -2 years. This would set their "Developmental Age" to 2 years, ensuring, for example that their actions are tagged against the statements in the 0-3 years age band of the development matters statements, instead of the 3-4 and reception age bands.
